Team Wasabi is allianced with Will
King from Verbal Judo Australia who runs all Verbal Judo courses.
Verbal Judo's Tactical Negotiation Skills and Conflict Resolution
are Key! Verbal Judo is the principle of Judo itself - using the
energy of others to master situations. It contains a set of communication
principles and negotiations tactics that enable the user to generate
co-operation and gain voluntary compliance in others under stressful
conditions. Verbal Judo also teaches how to use appropriate Presence
and Words as force options in any action which places the employee
and the public at odds with each other.
Verbal Judo teaches a philosophy of how to look
creatively at conflict, offering specific, powerful, and useable
negotiations strategies to resolve tense situations. You will
learn to respond to situations, rather than react to personal
feelings, understanding how to deal with difficult people using
conflict management tactics to defuse confrontive encounters.
Verbal Judo has precisely defined training goals
that address concerns of importance both to organisations and
the individual:
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
ENHANCED PROFESSIONALISM
REDUCED VICARIOUS LIABILITY
Verbal Judo is an internationally recognised
training. It teaches specific principles and tactics that have
been tried and tested by over 600,000 law enforcement officers
and professionals over the past 19 years. It can allow your staff
to redirect the hostile or aggressive behaviour of others, and
generate voluntary compliance.
ONE DAY VERBAL JUDO NEGOTIATIONS
SEMINAR FOR 'THE CONTACT PROFESSIONAL'
Employees are safer when they use their words
to achieve a professional purpose rather than express their personal
feelings. The most dangerous weapon a person carries is the ‘cocked
tongue;’ he / she must learn to use words as tools, not
weapons. Mind and mouth disharmony causes violence.
Everything taught in Verbal Judo can markedly
enhance a persons ability to look and sound good, as well as be
good. How we do what we do is often the difference between success
or failure, and employee’s are taught how to deliver ‘bad
news’ to others with dignity and respect.
This stress on the ‘art of delivery’
results in staff generating less complaints from their interaction
with the public, and hence less law suits. Departments trained
in Verbal Judo have seen huge reductions regarding the complaints
received from the public, and an untold amount of dollars saved
in civil actions. All of this results in less stress for the employee
and the organisation.
The five goals are:
- PERSONAL SAFETY
- ENHANCED PROFESSIONALISM
- LESS COMPLAINTS
- LESS VICARIOUS LIABILITY
- LESS STRESS
FAQs about Verbal Judo in Perth
Australia
Why is your training in negotiations
called Verbal Judo?
Physical Judo, "The Gentle Way" teaches how to redirect
physical energy with maximum effectiveness with minimum effort.
Judo does not require the opponent to be injured for it to be
effective. Like Judo, Verbal Judo still uses redirection. It differs
not in purpose but in application. We use words and principles
of persuasion to generate voluntary compliance from people under
influences like rage, anger, fear, frustration, and alcohol.
How long does it take to learn the principle
of your art of persuasion?
Although they are not absorbed in an instant, they do permeate
our lives so effectively they become a philosophy for living.
They are quickly implanted and grow as a new type of common sense
for our time because they are founded in the way people think
and act already. These principles guide future actions.
